Back so soon?

In perhaps the strangest offseason move I’ve seen in years, the Seattle Seahawks have brought back S Kevin Ellison after releasing him just a few days ago. According to the Seattle Seahawks homepage, the team said they needed to adjust some contractual issues. Uh…..okay.
In other Kevin Ellison related news, the DEA is conducting an investigation of the San Diego Chargers in relation to Ellison’s arrest with unprescribed Vicodin tablets.

Wello that was short, the Seattle Seahawks have released S Kevin Ellison a day after claiming him off waivers. The Seahawks claim Ellison failed a physical.

The Seattle Seahawks claimed S Kevin Ellison on Tuesday. Ellison had been released Monday from the San Diego Chargers. The USC product was arrested in May 2 days before the start of Chargers mini-camp after police officers found 100 Vicodin pills in Ellison’s car.
With the Chargers last season, Ellison recorded 52 tackles and 1 sack.
VJ to the Seahawks?
Are the Seattle Seahawks interested in San Diego’s Vincent Jackson? According to NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora, yes. He stated on the show that he expects the Seattle Seahawks to be “quite active” in trade discussions with San Diego for the talented wideout.

The Seahawks were interested in disgruntled Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall but he eventually was traded to the Miami Dolphins. The deal would most likely be something similar to the trade for Marshall where Miami had to surrender two second round draft picks. Jackson doesn’t have Marshall type numbers but the receiver has stedily improved his numbers each year he’s played.
Of course this is all speculation at this point and for the life of me, I can’t understand why the Chargers would not want to pay Jackson what he is worth. With both the Chargers and Jackson taking the hardline approach, this has the makings of an ugly situation while the Chargers season hangs in the balance.
LenDale White is a Bum
Former Seattle Seahawks running back LenDale White had a few interesting revelations this week.
[picappgallerysingle id="3496332"]
White spoke with the Tennessan newspaper about his pending four game suspension. Wait, doesn’t White actually need to be on a team before he has a suspension? White told the newspaper that he did in fact smoke pot while he has been in the NFL. “I did it, so it’s my fault. I smoked marijuana; that is all I have ever done. That’s all I do, I smoke. I don’t care about any other drugs, but it’s marijuana, ” White said. And what about that pesky little drug policy the NFL has LenDale? You might want to ask Ricky Williams about that one. And he wonders why he is unemployed.
White’s comments reminded me of another nugget of knowledge he shared with the media about a year ago. LenDale showed up at Titans training camp 30 pounds lighter last August. His diet? Eliminate the Patron. “I was a big Patron consumer….That’s what it was. I was drinking a lot, drank a lot of alcohol. I cut that out of my diet all the way.” Hmmm. Evidently there was something else he should have cut out as well.
White went on to tell reporters that he only drank an occasional glass of wine with dinner. Okay. White was quoted as saying, “This is a new LenDale White, and I feel bad for a lot of people because they woke somebody up.”
Maybe he ought to twist up another one and go back to sleep. I hear the UFL might be looking for players.
