It’s Crazy! It’s Out of Control! It’s Working! It’s the 2010 Seattle Seahawks!
[picappgallerysingle id="9859696"]For this Seahawks fan, the first three games have been full of excitement and madness. Not one game has been boring or flat (like last year). Each game has been a solid hard fought game. It’s starting to feel like we have some young talent on our team and the veterans are raising their game to new levels. We are beating good teams this season (I know it’s only 3 games in doubter guy but that’s all I can base it on).
The players that have been added to the team by Pete Carroll and John Schneider are producing. The draft picks are making an impact (minus Russell Okung who will be back soon). The defensive backs are impressive. Earl Thomas is second on the team with 21 tackles and 2 passes defended. He leads the team with 2 interceptions. The guy has been a solid rookie on the pass and run. Walter Thurmond and Kam Chancellor are also making an impact as defensive backs. These y0ung DBs are showing why they were drafted and why are management knew to draft them.
Also, Dexter Davis is making his presence felt on Special Teams and Defense with a fumble recovery and a sack. He was drafted in the 7th f’n round. Nice work Schneider and Carroll.
Golden Tate is scary talented. One of these games he’s going to go off for huge numbers. I can feel it. He seems to always make something happen when he gets the ball. They keep involving him as he evolves as professional receiver. He’s one rookie that is just explosive.
The players that were traded for or signed as free agents….also making major impacts. Raheem Brock was signed as a free agent in September… 2 sacks. Chris Clemons, traded for Darryl Tapp, 2 Sacks. These veterans that needed fresh starts are making the Seahawks better. Offensively, I like when Mike Williams drags dudes down the field. He hasn’t got the ball as much as I would have expected but I really like having him on the field. Leon Washington has been a great story. Broken leg last season. Seahawks trade for him on draft day. The dude returned 2 kicks in one f’n game. Record setting returns!
With all of the injuries the Seahawks have dealt with on the offensive line, you would think we would be on our 3rd Quarterback by now. Under Jim Mora, we would have been in trouble. This crusty crew of young and old lineman has stepped up each week to keep Matt upright and allowing him to find open receivers. Wait until we get Okung in there to help and we have even more flexibility.
These games have been crazy. Interceptions and Kick Off returns for TDs. Sacks. Big Plays. Great Energy on the field and in the Stands. I don’t what to call it, but it’s the 2010 Seattle Seahawks.
Seahawks send Chargers back to SAD Diego
MAN! That was a game for the Seahawks. It was a turnover fest for Philip Rivers and the Chargers. The Seahawks Defense was working hard today. Sacks, interceptions, fumble recoveries and some big stops. They weren’t perfect on D today but it was very fun to watch. Some huge plays in huge moments.
I feel like someone stood out on special teams today….hmmm…. oh yeah………… LEON F’N WASHINGTON!!!!! The dude was on fire! It was great to see some action on special teams. Golden Tate got it started last week and LEON went OFF today ! I swear the guy kept making something out of nothing on each of those big returns. Speed kills for the Seahawks on Speical Teams.
Sunday’s game was a good showcase of the players the Pete Carroll and John Schneider brought in. Chris Clemons (traded for) got 2 sacks today. Leon Washington (draft day trade) returned 2 kicks for TDs (Seahawks records by the way). Earl Thomas (drafted in 1st Round) had 2 interceptions. These guys are playmakers.
The crowd was really loud at Qwest and our homefield advantage was strong today.

Here’s what I found on fanfeeder about the Great Matt Hasselbeck
This is what these dudes found on Golden Tate returning kicks
Here’s the story on Russell’s runnning abilities
Monday Rant on the Seahawks. 90′s Dennis Miller would be proud.
It usually takes me until Wednesday to deal with a Seahawks loss but for some reason this afternoon, I’m ready to move on TO the next game. So, the Seahawks lost to Denver in a very frustrating way. Nothing fries my brain more than watching the Seattle defense have two good stops on First and Second down and the opposing offense a fresh set of down on Third down……….ALL DAY LONG! (It’s like listening to Cris Collinsworth’ local yocal cheeto-eating cheese for an entire football game….Oh wait, we get that every week? How lucky are we America. Not very.) It was a killer for this Hawks guy. But I’m gonna move on. Not gonna bitch about it anymore. All done bitchin. (Collinsworth is excruciating though, can’t stand that bobblehead. His head moves like a Muppet in the up and down, Guy Smiley way. Did I mention I don’t like Cris “No H Chris” Collinsworth)
Now I look to the future Marty, and the status of my team’s Flux Capacitor (Yep, forced BTTF reference). Leroy “There is always something wrong with me” Hill looks to be out for the game this week. I didn’t even notice him in the game but I guess he was out there. And when he was, he got hurt. I thought he was feeling like an 18 year old last week. Get well soon Leroy. Well at least we have “The Heater” to play for him. The Sea D rush attack has been solid and we should be proud of that. We held two good runners down in the last two weeks. That’s something we didn’t do last season when Jim Mora was walking around with the stupid look on his face, second guessing everything he coached and said. His press conferences were like Dennis Hopper in Hoosiers when he was sh!tfaced and startled to coach. (Yep, forced Hoosiers reference)
Sounds like my boy Russ Okung could be practicing next week but I don’t know what to believe. I say he’s out until after the bye. I feel like if they say he could practice next week that means he could play in 3-4 weeks. I don’t know just what my red beer filled gut feels.
Now, on a glass overflowingly filled with optimism that it’s spilling all over the counter and because I don’t to waste it, I will secretly slurp it….Rant…. I’m stoked about our receivers. Deon Butler is kind of a current economy middle class man’s DeSean Jackson. Good hands, good moves and gets open. I’m dig’n what I see from Deon. The other Deion is also showing me something. I guess when he’s healthy he can make things happen. We just need to get him the ball. Big Mike Williams didn’t have much to show in this last game but I’m still a big fan of his skills. Big Guy, Big Hands, just f’n big receiver. My boy Obo got a little TD love last game and I think he deserved it. Great preseason and great effort has rewarded Ben Obomanu. I like that play they used to score Obo’s TD. It seemed like a Bobby Engram kind of TD. Now, it’s time to start getting the ball to the Maple Bar Marauder. Golden Tate is a YAC kind of player. Get him the ball and let him make something happen. He gets me all worked up when he’s cradling the leather. I get as excited about Golden as Raible gets on a 3 yard gain on Second Down (Really Over the Top excited). Get Golden the damn ball Pete. I know you like to say (imagine this in condascending, ya ya ya kind of tone) he’s a kid who’s got great talent but has a lot to learn. I know. I know. But get the MF’er the MF’n ball with sugar on top. He makes it happen.
Now that my all too familiar hatred for the AFC West teams has returned, I want to beat the sh!t out of SD on Sunday at Qwest Field. They are team that is always so overhyped and Philip Rivers is such a d-bag. If he were a stream in the Northwest, he would be the Douche-utes River. Can’t stand his face, can’t stand the guy. Let’s pick him off 3 times this Sunday and sack him into the field turf until he freaks out on the crowd.
Ok, I feel better now. Hawks please heal up and beat the Chargers this week. Thanks.

Seahawks Post HQ Report: Well, at least Golden Tate looked good in his Seahawks debut
When I think about this game today, mistakes keep flashing in front of my mind. If the Seahawks (Matt Hasselbeck) didn’t throw that interception on the opening drive and we came out with just 3 points. It would have been different. If instead of fumbling the punt we called for a fair catch or just got tackled. It would have been different. If we could have got ANY pressure on Kyle Orton. It would have been different. BUT, instead we sucked on 3rd down on both sides of the ball, couldn’t tackle, turned the ball over more than they did and had nothing big on offense.
The only shiny part of Today’s big loss was Golden Tate. The talented playmaker looked great when he got the ball. They need to get him the ball. Matt had a bad day. Passes were not sharp at all. Deon Butler was great on the first drive but then he disappeared.
So, second game of the year in the books and it’s marked with a LOSS but we will move on. We have to.
